Tournament Questions
To order tournament questions, please email us with the following information.
1/ Which tournament set you would like to order.
2/ The name and date of your tournament.
3/ The name of the organization (ex. Quiz Bowl team, community group, etc.) which is sponsoring the tournament, as well as the contact individual for the tournament.
4/ The location of the tournament.
5/ Your phone number and email address, as well as the preferred method of contacting you.
6/ Your billing and shipping address.
We also strongly recommend announcing your tournament on the Quizbowl Resource Center forums, since many teams check the forums for information regarding upcoming events, which will help your event get greater publicity.
Also, tournament hosts are strongly encouraged to specify which Olympia question set they are using for their event while inviting teams. This keeps teams from inadvertently signing up for tournaments using questions they have already heard.
Once your tournament is complete, please also send us the following information.
1/ A list of teams which attended your tournament, including both Varsity and JV teams. This helps us preserve question security, so that teams will not inadvertently sign up for tournaments using questions they have already heard.
2/ The first and second place teams at your tournament.
2b/ (Optional) We also strongly recommend that all tournaments submit electronic tournament results using SQBS. In order to promote the electronic archiving of tournament results, we waive the base fee for any tournament which sends us a copy of its SQBS file (not the HTML web reports--an actual copy of the tournament statistics file). This discount only applies to tournaments of at least eight teams.
Olympia feels that offering tournament results online not only gives students the opportunity to see their performance and learn from it, but also helps preserve their accomplishments for posterity. For information about how to store tournament results electronically, visit our list of additional resources.
